No Lens Attached

    Hello
    Apologies if this question is in the wrong section.

    I've just got a 1300D which came with a Manual 85mm F1.4 lens. Selecting the aperture via the ring is fine but the camera states F00 aperture cannot be changed No Lens Attached.
    Any help, assistance and guidance greatly appreciated.

    Lens 17-40 f4L, 24-70 f4L IS, 100 f2.8L IS macro, 200 f2.8L, 300 f4L IS, 300 f2.8L, 100-400 f4.5-5.6L IS, 500mm f4L IS
    If the lens is a non-Canon lens without a "chip" then the readings are normal because the camera is unable to talk to the lens.
