I've been heavily considering getting the EOS R, and have been researching it, as one does. I know this forum is for DSLR's, but I saw no other forum dedicated to the EOS R, so I'm posting here. I'm excited to see that the EOS R has focus peaking, to aid with manual focus pulling. I found this to be very exciting. I shoot using an HDMI external monitor, and hardly use the on board LCD screen. I saw one reviewer talking about the focus peaking, he was un able to access the focus peaking menu while the HDMI out was engaged. My question is, does the focus peaking work while using the HDMI out to an external monitor, or can you only use the focus peaking when using the onboard LCD screen?
