canon 90d body , canon ef 50mm f/1.4 ideal for portrait and close up ,canon ef 50mm f/1.8 for general use , a canon 24 to 105 and a canon ef 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS MKII lens for wildlife and dolphin watching in Scotland , i also have a 1.4 extender for the 100 to 400
After years of using rubbish gear I decided to get a proper set up.
    This is my question:-

I put the camera into manual and in the picture menu i chose monochrome i set the camera to shutter 1/2000 , f8 and iso to 2000. Don't know if my choice of settings were right but the end result looked ok.

Next i used the C1 to save the settings and this is where i hit a problem , my choice of settings were saved on C1 but it did not save the monochrome setting , am i trying to do something that cant be done.

    Ashi Super - Takumar 1.8 / 55mm,
when i started getting used to my M50 for the first few months i kept a few pics that turned out great on the memory card as protected, that way i could recall them and hit info to see what settings i had used

hello caladina , a buddy of mine in Scotland said I done nothing wrong so I repeated what I did and it saved everything so I don't know what I missed the first time. On the 90d when you view what you shot it shows the settings it was on , as you can imagine I have taken a lot of noobie rubbish but bit by bit I am getting their. I seem to have got hooked on monochrome some shots I done look better than their proper colour.

If you like monochrome, when you get a spare ten minutes check out this thread.
