This months photo topic is "Magic Hour" -- That nice warm pleasing light with soft shadows as you approach sunset. Do a quick google search on the topic if you need.

    Happy shooting!
    Again, the rules are simple:
    • Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all.
    • Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives.
    • and most importantly have fun.

It's not much chop at the moment down here in southern Tasmania, overcast and a bit drizzly but I was lucky to get a burst of sunlight in the sky , I liked clouds highlighted with a slash of colour in this one. Ow and first cab off of the rank again, bonus. sunset Sky.jpg

This is definitely different and out of the box, Kevin, looks like you were feeding your camera a weird drug.

Craig, interesting photos, both of the clouds and of the houses enhance this month's theme.

Last day 9, in the middle of the afternoon I went with the camera to take pictures. I went to the rocks where I took several photographs. The first photograph is that of agave, or as they call it in Catalan, Atzvara; Its name comes from the observations made by Christopher Columbus, that there was a plant similar to Aloe, and taking from the name of Aloe, in Arabic from the Maghreb "as-sabàra". Today it is cataloged, here in Spain, as an invasive plant.

The second is the cause of the walk, the Torredembarra lighthouse, built about 30 years ago, as a complement to the port that was also built at that time, and on the way, there is a second pita.

Third, a photograph of the Lighthouse, the boats that can be seen, waiting for the signal to enter the Port of Tarragona, which is the 2nd largest commercial port in Catalonia.

Thanks, José. we have had a very wet and cloudy winter and going into spring, it does not improve for some time. Still nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Craig, thanks for commenting. Now that I am retired, I have discovered the pleasure of reading without haste, and I read a lot, especially history books, fictionalized or not. Also, Wikipedia to read an article that interests me and in the end, the bibliography comes out, to deepen, if I am interested

A few days ago I went to the beach early, there were clouds and the sun took longer to look. These are the photographs that I liked the most, the first edited with Capture one and the other that has more colors with Corel After shot 3 and PSP.

José, you are blessed to live in a country with so much history going back many generation and be able to visit these areas, we in Australia only have recorded history going back some 200 years, Prior to that it is history handed down by the indigenous people who live as part of nature and limited evidence of their presence is available.

Well, I did actually try this month's challenge. And I feel as if I failed. Getting home when it is dark was never going to help in the week.

But I did manage to get the dog to sit still for two minutes while I grabbed this image of her. Sadly, no soft golden light here. But the image was taken as the sun was going down.

No fail here Gary, excellent light and shadow. I particularly like the left side being light but the opposite for the ears. Good one mate.
