This months photo topic is "Sunrise/Sunset". As we start into fall here and days are starting to get a bit shorter I thought it would be nice to start looking for fun Blue/Golden/Magic hour shots.

    Happy shooting!

    Again, the rules are simple:
    • Should be be using some canon gear , this is a canon forum after all.
    • Shot with the assignment in mind, go out and shoot something new don't dig up something from the archives.
    • and most importantly have fun.

    A little Canon stuff
I know that this one is just outside of the rules by about two weeks. But there are meant to be really good sunsets on the coast. So when we were there i grabbed this. I am aiming to return, but to start things off.

    Sunset.

with custard in your pants, stay there till it sets, the custard, not the sun :p

i did go out couple days ago but the clouds were pretty non eventful, playing with just the iso really changed the colours, not actully tried taking any sunset/rise pictures as yet with a 'proper' camera so this would be my first, i think.

SWMBO and I were in Cornwall at the start of the month and we took a short trip to Treyarnon to see if a sunset would develop. This was one of the results.

It is a hand held 5-shot HDR, processed in Aurora - best seen on Flickr.

I like it.

got the first coat of gloss on the main doors, started friday, needs a couple more as yellow usually does but the doors should be weather sealed for now, adding a over hang to the cross bar to deflect the rain from the top of the door.
yes i know the doors need squaring up, the been like it ages but that can be done later when they dry.

i left the pic small as its a tangent from the threads main subject, that being said several neighbors have commented they are brighter than the sun!!
in the day light they are yellow when the light drops they are more orangey < (auto correct can do one, its a word now)
yes its a rear engine skoda, yes i made the roof rack myself,

I have been looking at adding one more, but like most others, I am running out of time.

So, this weekend is booked out. I think tonight is going to be my last chance looking at the long range weather forecast.

    From our back garden.

its one of the fun thing with the monthly challenge, it sounds like all the time in the world to get the shot but times up soon creeps up on you.
esp when its a nature shot and you can't control the main subject unless you think outside the box, my back up plan was a selection of sun brand foods or a week of sun newspapers shot in the golden hour to create a sun set.........................so glad i didn't have to buy a weeks worth of sun newspapers :p
