There were no deep rich colors in the sky normally seen in sunset but the dark clouds and the play of last rays of sun sneaking through the break in clouds on the grass field was interesting. This was by the roadside on our way back to Bay Area from Redding, CA.
If the rich colours did not happen then you have made a good choice to convert to mono because it now looks like a very nice sunset.
