I have rang the Melbourne store and got the everything is delayed due to covid speech but eventually my items could be ordered. Sometimes it can suck living in a small city.
Enjoy a small city, and embrace the internet and online shopping. I can't answer your post about poor service and large format film. I have never used large format, and to be honest, and I probably never will. The local camera shop I go to is pretty good. I keep going back, so that is a good sign. I take 120 roll film into them, that is the biggest format I have, yes I know, stop laughing. But I have found their service second to none. I even know some of the staff on a first name basis. They seem to be knowledgeable, and really helpful. I know that they can't supply everything, and when the need arises, I find what I need via the net. I have a couple of go to places around the world, and I have been really happy with the service I have received. In this day and age, if a business is not interested in helping me out, there are plenty of other ones out there that happily will. I am pleased that you found what you are looking for. Just keep on supporting them. Gary
I know were you are coming from Gary, at Vinnies, I am always behind the cash register and fully under-stand customer service, even when we do not have things in stock, we let customer know of other places to get what they want. To be lied to and ignored is not good business. Fortunately there is a second store in Hobart and this one is on Ilford's suppliers list.
