Yes, they all have aperture rings and will work.
My 1Ds refused to work when there were no contacts. My screw mount adapter has contacts and works fine on the 1Ds and the 20D.
However, my Nikon , Leica R, and Mamiya medium format adapters are all fitted with contacts.
Two of them were totally manual and one had contacts (50 mm K-A type)
