I’m pondering a an upgrade to my 550D, which I’ve had good use out of now for more than 10 years.
I’m looking at used rather than new and don’t have the budget to change lenses as well, so staying with crop sensors.
Both the 7 D Mk2 and the 80 D appeal, probably more the 7 for its better focusing and generally better build.
I take mainly Landscapes, Wildlife, Railway and Motorsport subjects, all the above mean being outdoors often in dodgy weather.
Given the above the 7D does seem a more logical option, but I would like to be able to transfer photos easily to an IPad whilst away from home, ( we have a touring caravan) the built in WiFi in the 80D does seem to give it an advantage in this respect. The 7D requiring the W-E1 card. I’ve heard some not so good comments about the card and it’s functionality.
Thoughts and experiences Would be most welceome.
