Hi everyone I have an EOS800D. I'm a health professional and I'm taking photos of my patients all day which I need to store on a PC. I've gotten the wifi working with the Canon Utility and I can transfer photos to my PC fine. However, every time I do this I need to reconnect the camera to my PC. It's time consuming and, no, this isn't due to power saving mode. I'm looking for a way for photos to seamlessly and automatically get downloaded as soon as they are taken without having to go into camera settings and reconnect to the PC. Once upon a time, I had an Eye-Fi card which did precisely this. I was hoping that such a built in feature would be possible in this era. Any advice is much appreciated.
are you set up in your office / examination room taking the pictures or out and about at patients homes? My suggestion would be to use a cabled tethering?
Thanks Caladina. I'm in my office only but I have to move around with the camera quite a bit so a cable won't work. I'm really looking for a wireless option.
i use the M50, i connect to my macbook with the onboard wifi (camera) then just down load the pics, if the camera is switched off you need to re link it but its only a couple clicks on the camera and one on the comp (EOS utility 3) program.
just been checking the utility side out, if you click on 'remote shooting' the pictures you take with the camera as normal go straight onto he computer
