I've just purchased a Canon EOS 2000D. I can't find a battery grip sold for this specific model. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Looks like Canon did not make a grip for the T7/T7I which I find peculiar. The BG-E8 was for most of the rebel line, and then the BG-E18 grip for the t6 and t6i but from what I read it doesn't work on the newer 7's. I guess I would suggest buyer beware, from what I saw some of the off brand ones say they work on both earlier and newer rebels which clearly they have different contacts if they have different grips.
Thanks heaps for reply Mr. Johnsey. Very surprising that a company of Canon's reputation would fail its customers in this way, but.....there you go. I'm sure I'll enjoy my new camera nonetheless.
Agreed it is a bit surprising, but I am willing to bet it probably has to do with the amount of them they sell on the entry level bodies.
Also just purchased a T7 ans disappointed at lack of battery pack! When I unboxed I wondered why they had put the card holder on the bottom when you would have to remove the battery pack whenever you wanted to access the card! Now I know why!
