    Hi everyone.
I am having an issue with this lens. It has been either dropped down or the focus part has been rotated overhead.
I disassembled the lens to see what is going on and I saw that long gears which I think are to blame because they don't do anything. 20190305_211338.jpg 20190305_211327.jpg
Is this normal? That big "ring" seems really jammed. I think it should rotate with that gear right?
    What can I do?
    Thanks,

Haha. Well I like to look into stuff, break it and remake it . And if I end up with spare screws, heck, I might make another lens too.

What was the actual focus issue? I have read some users of the lens that said the auto focus stopped working and by switching back and forth between Auto/manual or by gently pulling the focus ring they got them to work again. This is a fairly cheap plastic lens so it is not hard to imagine that something could have worn out or got broken. I wish you luck on taking it apart and fixing it, I would not have been so brave.
