Hello. I recently bought a T100. I'm having what I think is an issue with the viewfinder. I take a photo, it works as it should. If I move the camera "around" (point it down, move it around a bit for whatever reason) and look through the viewfinder and press the button half way to focus, the image moves slightly up and to the left. It happens perhaps 75% of the time. Any ideas?
The effect you are talking about could be the image stabilisation of the lens locking in. If your lens has an IS switch on the side try turning it off to see if it still happens, don't leave it off though because it helping you get sharper photos..
Just a couple of questions. What lens are you using, and do you have access to another lens to see if that changes anything. When the image moves around in the viewfinder, if replicate the moment but use live view, does the image move around? Is there any rattling noises coming from the camera if you gently shake it? Gary
Hello Gary. Thank you very much for the suggestions. It doesn't happen in live view or when I use my 18-55mm kit lens. I can hear no rattling noises from the camera.
I suppose it's better to have an issue with my Tamron lens rather than my camera. If there is an "issue" at all.
hmm sounds like a connection issue between camera and lens, i had a similar thing using a off brand teleconverter with my M50. if i was holding down the half shutter i could see and hear the image through the evf fluttering when i moved the camera. only happened with that tc
As an extra thought, if this is only happening with your Tamron lens and not your Canon lens. Are you able to update the firmware on the Tamron? Gary
You are going to have to do a little research. There is a mount called a TAP-in from Tamron that you can update your firmware with. But check that your lens is upgradable first. Gary
