Went out yesterday hoping for ducks and found some. Lots of mallards and some northern pintails and shovelers. A few bald eagles chasing the ducks away and norther harrier hawks around. All shot with R5 and 600/4 IS II and some with 1.4tc.

This was the first time I struggled with autofocus with the R5. The animal eye AF just wouldn't lock on at all and on a few occasions I couldn't lock on to a bird in a clear sky, it just couldn't find it. I tried switching to just zone AF and it would just hunt also. I tried to focus on a pair of F-16's on final coming in nice and slow and couldn't get them either. I think I will be holding onto the 1DX2 for a little longer if this keeps up. _42A1154.jpg _42A1132.jpg _42A1118.jpg _42A1097.jpg _42A1081.jpg _42A1029.jpg _42A0987.jpg _42A1061.jpg
