Hey there! New Canon owner, first time Canon user. Just got the R5 and the RF 24-105 as well as the RF 50mm f/1.2. Noticed fairly quick that there were no profiles for it in Lightroom. Which leads me to the question: what software do you guys use to edit your Canon photos? Do you still use LR like most people do or is there a better software for the Canon files? For example, I use Capture one for my Fuji files.
Adobe regularly introduces camera raw updates both LR Classic and LR the keep up to date with new lens profiles. Which version of LR are you running? The 50mm 1.2 has been supported for a few years now. Adobe is one of the better support for camera and lenses across any system. https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/supported-lenses.html This adobe form has some helpful on lens profiles if you dig into their forums... https://community.adobe.com/t5/camera-raw/adobe-lens-profile-downloader/td-p/9368349?page=1 This starts about a lens profile tool which allows non adobe official profiles, but if you scroll down there is a post about how some users were using DNG converter to new profiles and then copying them to a shared location by LR and Photoshop. The bottom line is you need to keep up to date with the newest LR version and you wont have any issues.
I have the newest one. I'm missing the profiles from the camera. I don't like Adobe profiles. Prdon my English. Thank you for the links I'll check them out now
