    Hi there

I recently (last week) moved from Nikon to Canon and I am in the process of selling most of my Nikon ger and buying Canon gear.

I have bought an R6 mk.ii and have an EF 100mm macro through an adapter.

I will be doing more video work on the wide to mid focal length.
So I am a bit puzzled whether to get the 16-35 f4 EF lens or got for the 24-70 f2.8 EF?
Most of my work will be indoor lifestyle videos or people.

Both these lenses are similar price in the used market, so some insights would be beneficial.

Thank you very much in advance.

These are two very different lenses. My thoughts are to grab both! My reasoning for this would be to use the faster 24-70mm f2.8 as your main lens, but when you are in a more confined space, swap it over to the wider 16-35mm as and when required. I have used a similar lens to the 24-70, but there are times where 24mm is just not wide enough, and this is where the 16-35mm would come into it's own.

Thanks, Gary. That is the aim, to get both, but for now I can only go for one.
So I have gone with the 16-35 as I will be shooting some really close quarter scenes, will get the 24-70 as soon as some more of my Nikon gear gets sold :)

    Cheers.

    Sounds like a good plan.
