I was given a 1000Fn mint with case including a SIGMA zoom UC AF 70-210mm f4-5.6 then later a 300v . I find the Sigma zoom works on the 1000Fn but when I attach it to 300v the small screen on back goes 'blank' and lens will not work ! Why does it work with 1000Fn and NOT with 300v ? Strange !

    Pete,

I could be wrong with this. But I think that it has something to do with the chip in the Sigma lens. The only work around is to have the chip replaced. Clearly not worth it in this case.

I seem to remember back in the day, you could send the lens off to Sigma to have it done.

I could be wrong, please anyone out there feel free to correct me if I am.

    Gary
