I have purchased a non Canon type remote controller for my EOS-R and even though following the instructions to pair etc I cannot get it to work and get a rapid flashing red light which signifies a fault apparently. I may have to bite the bullet and purchase a Canon variant if anyone can confirm that it will work with my EOS that I have enabled back button focus,
