EOS R50 and remote shutter control?

    It uses the hot-shoe and a communicates to its receiver, its also a intervalometer for timed shooting, for 20 bucks it may be worth a try, since it uses the hot-shoe i image it should be compatible regardless of the model even though the most recent r models are not liste din screen shots.
    .. I highly question the advertised distance or the quality of the product since its an ali express item. Cheep Chinese branded gear often are a mixed bag of results for you investment.
    The BR-E1 canon brand remote is only a remote and uses blutooth and says 16ft.
    Connecting a phone or laptop using wifi, creates a wifi spot as the camera as your wifi, the device attaches to the cameras "hotspot" you don't need to be at home and connect both to your home wifi this was done as a design on purpose. You should be able to use your phone as a remote with the canon app also.
