    hello ,

just took up photography again, used to play with it in the past. Just got a EOS M50 and love Wildlife. got some random used lens off Ebay. looking into some 300 to 800mm EF lens, need to grab a adapter.

still messing around to find a good Photo edit/tweak software.

think cam takes 16:9 .. need to change that.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Nothing wrong with looking for some long lenses, just be warned, they are not cheap.

With the 16:9 ratio, its down to you. What ratio do you like?

A 55-200 sounds like a good path to dip your toe into the telephoto type of lens.

Welcome Steve! Like Craig said, GIMP is an excellent choice for doing post processing and it's free for non-commercial use!

As another suggestion, have a look at RawTherapee.

    Another free piece of software.
