Well I have a son in Queensland too! I don't let my camera get wet, I have a really good patio to stand under for these shots or from the back of my SUV.

I finally got a nice night to take some photos, the first shows the Cadbury Chocolate Factory and the second the Bowen Bridge which goes over the Derwent River. Cadbury Factory.jpg Bowen Bridge at night.jpg
I don't know if it is because I am using my TV as a screen or I made the image's JPEG setting at it's lowest to make sure it small enough for the forum, but the images are rather dull to what I viewed on my computer, now that I look at them on the forum. any ideas.

couldn't find the pm part, rules say you supposed to photograph something for the month, not just pull something out the archive or the challenge part is lost.

Thanks Caladina. I'm interested to know about how you make your C-Stands - and what you use them for.

    A little Canon stuff

As a suggestion Craig, shoot an image in your best JPEG setting, (or in RAW) and in post, resize the image and see what it turns out like. I resize an image at 2048 on the long edge. That is the process that I use, and it comes out fine.

Let us know how you get on.

    Thanks, Gary.
I have only really got into computers and photography software in the last ten years, most stuff I have a handle on but file sizes is one of the things I still struggle a little. next shot I shall try your suggested resize options.

I must be quite clumsy, because it seemed to me that I had uploaded a photograph of Segovia, and I don't see it.
This time I will try to upload two photographs of the Benicasim beach, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, one two palm trees at night and the other, the lights, of the city of Castellón de la Plana, can be seen in the background.

Can I move now? I was out with my camera last night, and I took a snap or two. I haven't reviewed them yet but there might be one I want to post.
