Played around with an image exercising some artistic license.

Original. This is a tropical steamy mangrove forest.

    IMG_9196 (1) (b&w)2.jpg

Inversion changes it to a snowbound wintry scene from way up north (granted, the water is not frozen yet and the vegetation is out of place).

Gary, I look at this image and imagine it in poster size. the sort of thing you would see as a backdrop.

I like it, a very nice creative / abstract scene, it reminds me somewhat of the Smokey Mountains. Great image to save and use in a future composite photo. Well done

Thanks for the positive comments Craig. I am thinking about getting this one printed.

Thank you for your comments Jean-Louis. The joys of getting out when the weather is rubbish.

I wouldn't go that far. But I like the image Ray.

Well there you go Craig, that has to be a good thing. What I a finding is that I can go to the same location, and get some very different images.

Same day, same valley, same time, same hill range, same camera equipment. Just a handful of steps between them. Both of these images have only been slightly cropped, otherwise no adjustments.

Gary, I would be tempted to crop the bottom off that one to create a square image. Just a thought!

Gary, I was thinking along the same lines and cropped the image.
I am starting to have a preference for your original. IMG_2920 crop.jpg
This would have looked good as a panorama, maybe a shot either side of the original, just a thought.

This image emphasizes more of the ruggedness of the area, this is similar to the west coast area of Tasmania.

Sounds as if a road trip is coming up Craig. Take some time off work, throw your camera gear in the car, and off you go.

Sounds lovely but it's all 4wheel drive tracks and my old car does not leave the sealed roads, it's easier to push that way when it breaks down.
