    Hello Everyone,

My wife has recently bought a new 50mm lense for her Canon OEM M3 camera, she also had to buy an adapter as it wouldn't fit. After fitting the new lense the camera will not focus or take any pictures.
Not sure If the lense is at fault here or she needs to change a couple of settings on the camera to adjust?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

What adapter do you have?? If you bought an adapter that does not have electronic connections the auto focus cant work on the lens and you would need to manually focus. If you buy the canon one made for EF lenses you should be good to go.
My understanding is if you have a manual adapter you need to set a setting in camera that allows shooting with no lens attached, the camera sees the lack of electronics on the adapter the same as not having a lens.
