I have used my wife's Canon Prima AF-8 bought new (around 2001) and is still kicking. The camera design is superb! It has only 4 apertures and 4 shutter speeds (considering this, I was amazed that there are good exposed pictures - the film was mostly Kodak Gold 200). Any exposure is automatically calculated using the ISO film value and a combination of these. For when the image is underexposed, a flash is fired.

I got Rollei 35B, compact range.... err, view finder camera, which has to be guestimates for focusing. The lens is quite sharp so you'll need to use more narrow apperture (like f/5.6 or f/8)

Got the story on Steller here:

The only one I've used much is the Pentax PC35AF. It has autofocus and autoexposure. It has a flash for underexposure, but no sense of overexposure, in my experience.
