I recently bought a used Canon EOS 250d, it came with a LC-E17e charger and this cable (photo attached), I’m just wondering where this is supposed to plug into and if I need an adapter?
that's a European plug. From what I can see it looks like Type C is the most widely used plug internationally. This two-wire plug is ungrounded, unpolarised and has two round prongs. It is popularly known as the Europlug which is described in CEE 7/16. Where are you? I wouldn't try running that charge in a country not designed for the plug.
Welcome to the forum Lily, the cord going into the charger is a figure of eight plug. It is commonly used on various electrical items such as radios, etc. Go to a OP shop or similar and see what they have there and use the cord from the device to plug into your charger. They may have a bin with cords and various other bits and pieces. Second suggestion go to a electronics store and buy a electrical adapter that you can plug into with the cord that come with the charger and then into your wall socket outlet
Thank you! I’m in the U.S and never have been to Europe, assumed the person who sold it to me would’ve told me it was a European plug but I guess not, I’ll try an adapter?!
