Eos 40D, Canon 18-55mm, Yongnuo 50mm f1.8, lots of adapters for other lenses
    Nikon D7000, Nikon 18-70, Tamron XR 28-300mm, Nikon AF 50mm 1.4, Samyang 8mm f3.8, Sigma EX 50 2.8D macro, Sigma APO 170-500 5-6.3D, etc.
Panasonic Lumix G1, 14-42 3.5-5.6, lots of adapters
    Pentax K200, Pentax 18-55mm
    Sony A230, Sony 18-70 3.5-5.6
    Sony A3500 18-55 several adapters
    Sony DSC-V1 with infrared kit.
FLIR One thermal imaging camera for iPhone
I'm using a 2nd hand Eos 300D but it came without software. I can access files by reading the card directly, or (extremely slowly) via USB, but it would be useful to have more options. I tried support on Canon's site, but they only offer upgrades, not the whole package.
Given how long these have been around I'm guessing that someone here might have an install disc they're no longer using. If so, I would be happy to give it a good home.
Can't offer much above postage (to London, UK), but I'd be very grateful.
Or if there's any alternative software around that's compatible please let me know. I have a Windows 7 64-bit PC and a Mac running the current release of OS X, getting things working properly on one would be a big help.

I wouldn't bother installing the 15 year old software off of the disc anyway. Canon has kept the same several software lines and updates them, just download the current versions from the website and your good to go. http://www.canon-europe.com/support/camera_software/

Those are upgrade versions - it says it won't work if you don't have an earlier version installed.

Well that's unfortunate they don't have the software linked for that camera on the Europe page. The CD download is even available to my 5dmk2, on the Europe page.

    Good news is... https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/...?subtab=downloads-software#DriversAndSoftware
The US page lists the main application and the updater on their page, not sure why Europe sight doesn't. Either way even if the direct download was unavailable I'm sure canon would help provide. Laptops these days don't even come with them as standard all the time, pretty much every company with computer connected peripherals allows full download from the cloud in this day and age.

That being said I don't see any reason to use the software, its easier to just transfer it to the computer via a usb card reader and then bring it into Lightroom.

OK, I downloaded what I could from there and you're right, it isn't much help. What I was hoping for was device drivers, anything to speed up USB access to the camera, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Oh well, card reader it is.

Canon introduced usb 2.0 on the 350D; your limited by the camera hardware.

That explains the speed, I suppose. Might as well forget it - I'll use a card reader.
