Hi, I just bought an EOS M6 Mark 2 - the autofocus when taking pictures is near-instant but on video's it takes 10x longer. What's causing this and can I change it? The lens is a Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM (link here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H4F65YR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I literally just bought it for 4k video so this really needs to speed up! I don't understand why the autofocus on video goes so slow, I want it to be as fast as the picture mode! Thanks
I would at a guess say 4K is a very large file format, so this could be the issue. I would suggest you look up you tube as this may give you a more in depth look . My third suggestion would be to approach Johnsey as he is more up to date with the modern cameras and their issues.
What I found in a very brief target look is that there are recent firmware updates and it does list in the march one something about focus issues. EOS M6 Mark II Firmware Update, Version 1.1.0
