Have just purchased a Lensbaby Velvet 56 to use for my flower photography. This lens has no connection to camera and apparently you have to enable camera to shoot without a lens. Have looked on Google with no luck.
Can anyone help please as expensive lens!!

Thanks for your reply but have been through every line of the menu's and nowhere does it let you enable shutter release without lens. Thanks for the video link I will watch now just in case!!

My rokinon is MF, but I have one with a chip in it for focus confirmation. The issue is the camera wants focus confirmation before letting the shutter fire. Generally canon assumed people would use lenses with a AF/MF switch, an you would manfully focus using the switch. It doesn't really apply to these 3rd part lenses. I could try to dig out my rokinon and play with it and see if I find something on my 5d, but in the meantime....
I do believe you can rapid fire in AF servo mode regardless of focus being locked, and there is a custom function i saw in your manual related to that as well.

well, its right there, in the vid it looks like you have an icon after the spanner, a camera icon with some lines under it, as you will see in the vid its in that section.
