Landscapes While in Isolation...

    One has to try new things. So I got out my lens ball.
    These images are of The Lake House which is the community centre where I live. They were taken with my Canon EOS-1Ds and Canon EF 28-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS USM lens. The first one is with the lens ball and the second without. I think you would have worked that out anyway.

    now what is a lens ball, it's a item that I have never heard of.

    It is a glass ball (in my case about 75cm round) and you place it in front of your lens and take a photo. Some don't modify the images but I perform a bit of Photoshop magic Here is the image SOOC so you can see what I started with:

    I place the ball on a small glass stand sitting on a tripod and then take the image with my camera which is also on a tripod and I focus on the image in the ball.

    Yes, some people refer to them as a crystal ball.
    The possibilities are wide and varied, limited only by your imagination.
